ד,ז [ח] ההלל והשמחה שמונה, כיצד: מלמד שאדם חייב בכיבוד יום טוב האחרון של חג, כשאר כל ימות החג. סוכה שבעה, כיצד: גמר מלאכול, לא יתיר את סוכתו; אבל מוריד הוא את הכלים מן המנחה ולמעלן, בשביל כיבוד יום טוב האחרון.
ד,ח [ט] ניסוך המים שבעה, כיצד: צלוחית של זהב מחזקת שלושת לוגים, היה ממלאה מן השילוח; הגיעו לשער המים, תקעו והריעו ותקעו. עלה לכבש ופנה לשמאלו, ושני ספלים של כסף היו שם; רבי יהודה אומר, של סיד היו; אלא שהיו מושחרים, מפני היין. ומנוקבין כמין שני חוטמין דקין–אחד מעבה ואחד מדק, כדי שיהו שניהם כולים בבת אחת. מערבי של מים, ומזרחי של יין. עירה של מים לתוך של יין, או של יין לתוך של מים–יצא. רבי יהודה אומר, מלוג היה מנסך כל שמונה. ולמנסך אומרין לו, הגבה את ידך–שפעם אחת ניסך על רגליו, ורגמוהו כל העם באתרוגיהם.

As we do every year the Shul will be having a Gala Kiddish on Simchas Torah. As we have Baruch Hashem grown over the past few years we ask if everyone can give to help cover the increasing costs. As in the past we have asked for a suggested donation of $100 per family (member) this will cover the food, paper goods, beverages and waiters (to help setup, serve and cleanup). We do not want to anyone to feel pressured into giving that amount if they are unable to and we will gladly accept any amount. On the other side we also ask for those who do have the bracha of having more to consider giving more so the burden doesn’t fall on the shul.
We thank everyone for their generosity in advance and hope everyone has a Gut Gebenched Yur.
