Rav’s Audio Sukah 4:4, 4:5

Rav helping collect for family in need

The following email is being sent on behalf of the Rav. A campaign was just put up on The Chesed Fund to help assist a family the Rav knows that is in desperate need of financial assistance. Let’s as a Kehillah help out the best we can to help. The story is below with the link for donations below that. Tizku Limitzvos!

A family the Rav knows is in desperate need of financial assistance. A family with children find themselves in over $100,000 in debt. Much of debt comes from student loans that they took upon themselves. He had hoped that years of schooling in both a bachelors and masters would allow him to eventually provide for his family needs. Unfortunately, despite his years in school and long hours of work, the family finds themselves in worse situation they had been. They BH have children to support as well. Additionally, they are many months behind in rent. These parents have done all the Hishtadlus that one can imagine to help better their financial situation. Even now, the father works incredibly long hours to add to his paycheck to make ends meet to the best of his ability. They unfortunately find themselves in a situation unimaginable. Every paycheck goes to expenses but is not enough to stop the debt from adding up and they are falling behind in their bills and tuition. Since much of the debt has been incurred from student debts, interest continues to accrue.

With Yom Kippur coming up please open up your heart to this family in need. It would be an amazing feat to be able to cover the debt this family has and put a little extra money in the bank for tuition, food, rent, and the many expenses that are involved in our daily lives. Tizku Limitzvos.
