Message from The Rav

The following is from the Rav:

With spring around the corner we are enjoying having the children coming to Shul on Shabbos. We just want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that a Shul is first and foremost a place for tefillah. With that in mind we would like to stress the importance of having the children understand that they must not disturb the davening. The constant running in and out and up and down the steps and running in the hallway makes it very hard to concentrate on our tefilos. In order to keep the children entertained we have invested in new toys for the children to play with, along side the babysitters downstairs. There will also be a raffle this week with prizes for whoever behaves nicely. Please remind the children that playing quietly in the basement during davening is very important. Also children who are too young to understand the importance of proper behavior in Shul and do not stay downstairs with the babysitters should rather not come to Shul until kiddush time. Thank you for understanding. Have a great Shabbos.
