ד,ז [ח] ההלל והשמחה שמונה, כיצד: מלמד שאדם חייב בכיבוד יום טוב האחרון של חג, כשאר כל ימות החג. סוכה שבעה, כיצד: גמר מלאכול, לא יתיר את סוכתו; אבל מוריד הוא את הכלים מן המנחה ולמעלן, בשביל כיבוד יום טוב האחרון.

As we do every year the Shul will be having a Gala Kiddish on Simchas Torah. As we have Baruch Hashem grown over the past few years we ask if everyone can give to help cover the increasing costs. As in the past we have asked for a suggested donation of $100 per family this will cover the food, paper goods, beverages and waiters (to help setup, serve and cleanup). We do not want to anyone to feel pressured into giving that amount if they are unable to and we will gladly accept any amount. On the other side we also ask for those who do have the bracha of having more to consider giving more so the burden doesn’t fall on the shul.
We thank everyone for their generosity in advance and hope everyone has a Gut Gebenched Yur.

ד,ה מצות ערבה כיצד: מקום היה למטה מירושלים, ונקרא מוצא; יורדין לשם ומלקטין משם מורבייות של ערבה, ובאים וזוקפין אותן על צידי המזבח, וראשיהם כפופים על גבי המזבח. תקעו והריעו ותקעו. בכל יום מקיפין את המזבח פעם אחת, ואומרין, "אנא ה’, הושיעה נא" (תהילים קיח,כה), "אנא ה’, הושיעה נא"; רבי יהודה אומר, אני והוא הושיעה נא, אני והוא הושיעה נא. אותו היום, מקיפין את המזבח שבע פעמים.
