Membership

As Rosh Hashanah is fast approaching the shul would like to welcome everybody back as well as welcome all new Mispalellim who have joined us over the summer.

It is that time of year again, the Shul’s annual membership collection. As we have done in the past we ask for your continued support to help our Kehilah. The suggested annual membership is $360 per family which included seats (1 men’s and 1 women’s seat) for the Yomim Noraim. Additional seat prices are suggested as $125 for an adult and $75 for a child.

This year we are planning on having a seating chart (thank you to the people who have volunteered their time) for the women for the Yomim Noraim. If your wife/daughter/guest plans on attending on Rosh Hashanah (1 or both days) and/or Yom Kipper please let us know as space in the shul by the women is limited and we want to make sure we have enough seats by the women for all tefillos. If you would like to reserve for a child please let us know their age(s), due to the limited seats and need to make sure all the adults have seats before we can seat a child.

If a member of the shul will not be with us for Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kipper please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan the seating chart accordingly for the Yomim Noraim. Even if you plan to only be with us for one day please let us know which day that will be.

While it may seem obvious to some, we ask that even if you do purchase a seat for your child (Men and Women) to please be courteous and give the seat to any adult you may you see that does not have a seat (we will gladly refund any money should anyone take issue with this request). Please note that every effort will be made to make sure everyone who would like to daven with us has a seat, we will be giving priority to our members and a first come, first serve basis to outsiders.

Membership, seats for Yom tov, as well as our annual Malava Malka is where the shul collects most of the donations needed to cover the large expenses we have. However, it does not cover all of our expenses. To help with this the shul will be continuing the פרנס החודש and, monthly utilities sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor either please contact Eli Rosengarten or the Rav about availability and pricing.

Chaim Cywiak will be in the Shul this Motzai Shabbos approx. 1 hour prior to Slichos for the membership and seats arrangement (cash, check and credit cards excepted). Please note that every effort will be made to accommodate everyone with the seats they have/would like. However, we apologize in advance if we are unable to do so please know we are doing our best to make as many people happy as possible.

If you are unable to attend Motzai Shabbos please email KollelMakarovSeats to make arrangements for seats and payments include your full name and the amount of seats needed (Men/Woman/Children).

Wishing you and your family a Chasiva Ve’Chasima Tova and a Gut Gebenched Year.

Rav’s Audio Sukah 2:8, 2:9

Last Call Hachnasas Sefer Torah

Last call for those that would like to write a letter prior to the Hachnasas Sefer Torah. Please respond back as soon a possible if have not yet and would like to write a letter. If you missed the previous email, please see below.

We look forward to the Shul Hachnasas Sefer Torah sponsored by the Zelmans. The Hachnasas Sefer Torah will be taking place on Labor Day.

Everyone will have an opportunity to write a letter if they wish but will need to go the Mikvah in advance. If you do not go to the Mikvah but would like to partake in the Mitzvah of writing a letter, you can hold the Sofers hand in as he writes a letter.
Please email the Shul if you would like to partake in the letter writing so we can run it as efficient as possible. If your schedule is flexible, then great, we will arrange a time for you to write the letter. If not, please let us know an approximate time that works best for you, and we will do our best to accommodate. Looking forward IYH.

Trying to help a friend before Rosh Hashanah

The Rav has asked this email be sent out. Whomever can help out would be greatly appreciated!

This fundraising campaign is to support the son of a very close friend of mine, who lives in Maaleh Adumim (made aliyah from Queens 40 yrs ago), down the block from us. Three months ago, his son was a first responder to a
terror attack in Chevron & his car was involved in a bad accident on the way.
He was very severely hurt and is suffering from head trauma etc.
He was in a coma for the first few weeks & has recently started waking-up. He is only now beginning the very long & slow road to recovery.
His name is Noam Netanel David Liker (ben sarah raiza) – they added Noam after the accident, for a refuah shleima. He has a young wife &
two small kids at home, so i’m trying to help a bit them w/their finances –
at least till after the Yomim Tovim, since they won’t be receiving any income for a while. Tax-deductible donations can be made online via all4israel.org
pls indicate in the comments section that the funds are for the Liker family.
Checks can be given to Yossi Akselrud or Yudi Zuller.
EVERY DOLLAR donated will go straight to Noam & Tohar Liker & Family.
Please forward to anyone you know that might want to help.

Rav’s Audio Sukah 2:6, 2:7
